Wall’s Jost Named State Hitter of the Week

WALL, TX — Wall senior Wyatt Jost was named the Texas High School Baseball Class 3A D-Bat Hitter of the Week for his performance in the Hawks’ five wins last week.

Jost was a combined 13-of-15 at the plate with two doubles, a triple, seven runs batted in and five runs scored.

Jost helped Wall to wins over San Angelo TLCA (28-0), Sam Houston (12-0), Copperas Cove (7-6), Fort Stockton (12-0) and Godley (12-1).

Jost and the defending state champion Hawks have now won eight in a row. They have a record of 14-8 after a slow start in which they played numerous Class 6A teams.

Wall will play again at 4 p.m. Thursday at Miles.
