SAN ANGELO, TX — TLCA San Angelo announced Friday that its athletic director and head football coach are no longer with the school.
According to TLCA's staff listings, Kent Sherrill is the athletic director, while Bradley Oh is the head football coach. Sherrill has also served as the school's boys basketball coach, while Oh was the track coach.
The statement from TLCA reads:
"We would like to provide you with an update regarding our athletic program that will have a direct impact on this school year. First and foremost, we want to thank you for your patience.
"We want to inform you that as of today, March 13, 2026, the Athletic Director and Head Football Coach have left the organization. Three other coaches have been retained but will serve in non-coaching capacities. A search for a new Athletic Director and Head Football Coach is now underway."
"Our priority is ensuring that this transition does not disrupt the experience of our student-athletes. We are working closely with our staff to maintain stability and ensure our athletic programs continue to run smoothly."
"Please know that above all, the safety and well-being of our students remains our highest priority. We will continue to take all necessary steps to ensure a safe and positive environment for all students on our campus."
"Thank you for your continued support of our athletic program and school community."
It is unclear if the personnel changes are related to the recent disciplinary workout that caused about 10 student-athletes to seek medical treatment.
According to sources, the workout included 400 pushups among other punishments.
When asked about the incident that occurred in late February, a TLCA spokesperson stated:
"A situation occurred last week during the high school athletic period which resulted in multiple students seeking medical attention. Upon becoming aware, the school reported to the appropriate agencies.
"This situation is currently under investigation and we are fully cooperating with the authorities. Our thoughts and prayers are with each student who has been impacted."
