Angelo State Softball Series Moved Due to Weather

SAN ANGELO, TX — Due to forecasted inclement weather in the Concho Valley this weekend, the Angelo State University softball team's doubleheader against UT Permian Basin, originally scheduled for Friday, has been moved up a day.

The first game will now begin at 5 p.m. Thursday at ASU’s Mayer Softball Field.

The Rambelles' doubleheader against the Falcons on Wednesday in Odessa has also been moved up an hour and will now begin at 2 p.m., though no rain is in the forecast.

Thunderstorms are expected for San Angelo on Friday, followed by more rain on Saturday.

ASU is coming off a pair of losses at Texas A&M-Kingsville last weekend, but the Rambelles are still ranked No. 12 in the nation in NCAA Division II with an overall record of 27-8 and a Lone Star Conference mark of 16-4.

The Rambelles are fourth in the 17-team LSC standings.

UTPB is 12-19 overall and 3-17 in LSC play.
