ASU's Benedetta Raggiotti Named LSC Women's Tennis Player of the Week

RICHARDSON, TX — Angelo State’s Benedetta Raggiotti has been named the Lone Star Conference Women’s Tennis Singles Player of the Week following a pair of wins that helped the Rambelles (16-0) secure two conference victories.

Raggiotti earned straight-set wins in both matches as Angelo State defeated Cameron and No. 24 Midwestern State by identical 4-3 scores.

Against Cameron, Raggiotti defeated Isabella Quintero 6-4, 6-1. She followed with a 6-3, 7-5 win over Alessia Dolce of Midwestern State, tying the match at 3-3 and helping set the stage for the Rambelles’ victory.

It marks the first Singles Player of the Week honor for Raggiotti, who previously earned Doubles Player of the Week recognition earlier this season alongside partner Margaux Rene.

The award is the 10th weekly honor for Angelo State under head coach Jason Potthoff.

The Rambelles return to action Saturday with a match against St. Mary’s. First serve is scheduled for 10 a.m.
