WALL, TX — Wall continues its monstrously successful school year for its student-athletes as three more Hawks signed to play baseball at the next level. Wyatt Jost, Dylan Sellars and Stephen Laney put pen to paper to continue their athletic careers at the next level.
Wyatt Jost signed his letter of intent to play for Blinn College next school year, while Stephen Laney will be attending Community Christian in Round Rock. Both signed to play baseball. Meanwhile, Dylan Sellars will continue his football career at Howard Payne University in Brownwood.
Both Laney and Jost are a part of the 3A Division II defending state champion baseball team this season. A team that currently has another state title in its sights, Wall finished the regular season with a 24-8 overall record and another district title. Wall currently is in the area round against Tolar, where the Hawks claimed Game 1 on Wednesday night, 5-4.
Jost compiled a .470 batting average, 31 hits and 14 RBIs to go along with six doubles, two triples and seven stolen bases so far this season. He has also seen a good amount of work on the mound, compiling 16 strikeouts.

Laney has appeared in 13 games for the Hawks this season. While not playing all the time, he has become a pivotal role player who steps up when his number is called. He has a .308 batting average in 2026. He also has eight RBIs, two doubles and a home run. He has been solid behind the plate with a .953 fielding percentage and just two errors in 13 games.
Wall has already knocked out Blanco, 12-1 and 3-0, to claim a bi-district championship and is well on its way to another deep playoff run. Game 2 for the area round is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. on Friday, May 8, in Eula.

Dylan Sellars was an integral piece to the Hawks' state title run in football in 2025. He was a disruptive force on the defensive line with 133 tackles, 22 tackles for loss, eight sacks and 39 QB hurries. He was named the Co-Defensive MVP of his district.

A dominant player on defense and special teams, he scored a touchdown off a blocked punt in the championship that gave Wall the early lead it needed against Newton.
Sellars went on to be a physical presence on the basketball court later in the school year.
