BALLINGER, TX — Ballinger seniors Maddie Dixon and Jillian Rodriguez each signed this week to compete athletically in college.
Dixon signed Tuesday with West Texas A&M in Canyon for cheerleading, while Rodriguez signed Wednesday with Angelo State for powerlifting.
In addition to serving as a cheerleader at Ballinger, Dixon also competed in track, volleyball and powerlifting.
Rodriguez competed in powerlifting and track. She placed in the top five of her weight class at five powerlifting meets this season.
West Texas A&M and Angelo State are both NCAA Division II schools that compete together in the Lone Star Conference.
