FRISCO, TX — The Dallas Cowboys signed undrafted free agent wide receiver Romello Brinson on Monday, adding depth to the position following the retirement of Parris Campbell last week.
The former SMU Mustang stays in the metroplex if he makes the team this fall.
Brinson began his collegiate career at Miami before transferring to SMU in 2023. In his final season with the Mustangs in 2025, he recorded 43 receptions for 638 yards and three touchdowns, finishing second on the team behind fellow Cowboys undrafted free agent Jordan Hudson.
Brinson initially signed with the Miami Dolphins before joining Dallas, where he will look to earn a role in the Cowboys’ wide receiver group.
He also has NFL family ties, as he is a cousin of former Pro Bowl wide receiver Chad Johnson.
