Goat Roping Fundraiser to Help Local Baseball Team Get to Omaha

SAN ANGELO, TX — A local baseball team is hosting a goat roping fundraiser to help cover travel expenses for a trip to Omaha, Nebraska.

Texas Smoke Baseball will hold the fundraiser on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at Ranch 277 in Christoval. The team is raising money to travel to Omaha and represent the Concho Valley in competition.

Books open at noon, with roping beginning at 1 p.m. The event will feature a 50% payout along with prizes. Entry fees are $10 per person or $20 per team, and competitors may enter multiple times until the final call.

In addition to the goat roping, attendees can enjoy hamburgers, sausage wraps, drinks, a cornhole tournament, live music and a raffle. Pony rides will also be available. The event is BYOB and will have various other vendors present.

The fundraiser will take place at Ranch 277, located at 20707 U.S. Highway 277 in Christoval. All proceeds will benefit Texas Smoke Baseball players and help support their trip to Omaha.
