2-Vehicle Crash Closes Traffic on Avenue N

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — A two-vehicle crash locked down traffic on Avenue N on Wednesday afternoon.

The crash occurred about 12:15 p.m. at the intersection of Avenue N and Austin Street.

According to a traffic officer with the San Angelo Police Department, both vehicles attempted to beat a yellow light and crashed when one turned left in front of the other.

A witness with a dash cam was able to help the officer determine what happened.

"I urge people to please pay attention and slow down," the officer stated. "This kind of accident happens because people are in a rush."

Several people were checked out on scene by first responders, but no one required a trip to the hospital.

A citation was issued to one of the motorists for not having a driver’s license.
