Lake View's Guevara Talks Win Over Pecos, Previews Big Spring

SAN ANGELO, TX — The Lake View Chiefs claimed an opening district win over Pecos last Thursday, 42-14.

The Chiefs waited out a 2.5 hour rain delay before dominating both sides of the football against Pecos. With the win, the Chiefs are in full control of pursuing a district championship. Along with the win, the Chiefs secured their first winning season in 21 years.

Head Coach Hector Guevara discussed the win Tuesday and previewed what he expects from his team on the road versus Big Spring.

Lake View travels to Big Spring on Friday, Oct. 31. The Chiefs need another win if they want to stay atop the district standings and in contention for that district title.

Kickoff in Friday's matchup is scheduled for 7 p.m.
