WATCH: ASU Basketball HC Vinay Patel Talks Loss to DBU
SAN ANGELO, TX — The Angelo State Rams basketball team went 2-2 over the winter break. One victory and one loss in Las Vegas led to an LSC victory and loss at home. Head coach Vinay Patel discussed the state of the Rams at his weekly press conference at the Junell Center on Monday morning.

Angelo State lost to No. 12 West Liberty, 101-79, before the Rams defeated Hawai'i Hilo, 70-59. On Jan. 2, the Rams took down UT Tyler, 76-50, before falling to Dallas Baptist in one of the worst shooting nights under Patel's tenure, 86-50.
The Rams' 2-3 start to LSC play is also the worst start since Patel took over four years ago. He was fired up during his press conference and took full responsibility for the Rams' poor shooting on Sunday.
Angelo State has a few days to practice to fix some of the issues that plagued the Rams against DBU to return to the team that stomped UT Tyler before Angelo State hits the road for two away games.
The Rams play in Lawton, Oklahoma, against Cameron at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday before traveling to Oklahoma City to face off with Oklahoma Christian on Saturday at 3 p.m.
