Wall's Gage Reichenau Signs With North Central Texas College

SAN ANGELO, TX — Wall Hawks ace pitcher and the reigning MVP of 3A baseball, Gage Reichenau, signed to play college baseball at North Central Texas College on Wednesday. In front of a packed gym at Wall High School, Reichenau put pen to paper to fulfill one of his lifelong dreams to play at the next level.

Reichenau and head coach Jeremy Gordon gave their thoughts on the signing after the festivities ended. Watch those interviews above.

"Ever since I was a young kid, my main goal was to go play in college," Reichenau said after his signing. "The journey doesn't stop here. It's just getting started. I'm ready for this opportunity."

Reichenau is currently a member of the state champion Wall Hawks, who look to repeat as champions in 2026. He was an integral piece of the Hawks' success last year as the team's ace pitcher. He finished the season with a 0.49 ERA, 101 strikeouts, and allowed a batting average of .140. He never lost a start on the mound and pitched an absolute gem in the state game last summer, allowing one hit in the contest.

"Huge shout out to Gage and congratulations to him," Gordon said. "He's a kid that works his tail off in everything he does. He competes at the highest level when he steps on the bump. He's always level-headed, and everything he's gotten he's got because he's worked his tail off. I'm super proud of him and happy for him."

Wall has already begun its title defense in 2026. The Hawks are heavy favorites in almost every matchup they enter this season, and Reichenau said that all of the players are ready.

"We know we have the team to do it," Reichenau said. "But, we also can't get ahead of ourselves. We have to take it one game at a time. No matter who we face, we will put up our best fight against them."
