Gov. Abbott Hints at Reopening Bars Soon

SAN ANGELO, TX – Texas Governor Greg Abbott hinted Monday that reopening the bars may be coming soon.

Since the start of the Pandemic, Texas Governor has been very clear that bars were the number one place to catch coronavirus.

To slow the spread on the virus Abbott along with a number of state governors have shut down the bars.

Last week Mayor of San Angelo Brenda Gunter and District 72 State Representative Drew Darby wrote a letter pleading to the Governor to reopen bars in rural communities.

Then on September 19, Abbott tweeted out the following giving bars owners a little hope.

It is unknown when exactly Abbott will reopen the bars but if Texas' COVID-19 positivity rate stays the way it is one can only assume that day is getting closer.
