Early Opens New Boardwalk With Numerous Weekend Events

 

EARLY, TX — The town of Early is celebrating its new boardwalk with a multi-day grand opening celebration this weekend.

The boardwalk can be found at 109 Kelcy Way in the Early Town Center Park. Early neighbors Brownwood about 100 miles east of San Angelo.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, followed by music entertainment provided by a DJ from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. There will be kayak and paddle boat rentals from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.

The boardwalk includes walking paths, fishing spots and open spaces for families to enjoy.

Events and activities Saturday include a fishing tournament, casting contest, hourly giveaways, bounce houses, a mechanical bull, a mobile video gaming center, photo booth, face painting, arts and crafts, vendors, food trucks, live music, drone show, cornhole tournament, and a car and motorcycle show.
