Police Identify Suspect In Bryan Mass Shooting

 

BRYAN, TX – The Bryan Police Department has identified the suspect responsible for a mass shooting on Thursday afternoon.

According to BPD, the suspect, identified as 27-year-old Larry Bollin, is an employee of Kent Moore Cabinets, where the incident occurred.

Officers were dispatched to the business shortly before 3:00 p.m. When they arrived at the scene officers located one deceased victim and four critically injured victims. By the time officers arrived at the scene Bollin had already fled.

The four victims were transported to St. Joseph Health Regional Hospital in Bryan. As of Thursday afternoon, two of the victims remained in critical condition and the other two were stable. One additional victim was listed as being in a non-critical condition and one person suffered an asthma attack.

Witnesses told police Bollin used a handgun and that the shooting appeared targeted. The motive remains unknown at this time.

As law enforcement searched for Bollin, one DPS trooper was shot. He was transported via medical hospital to St. Joseph Health Regional Hospital in Bryan. He underwent surgery and the latest update indicated he was in serious, but stable condition.

Bollin was taken into custody in Bedias, TX and has been charged with murder.  His bond was set at $1 million.
