Driver Ejected In Fatal Crash

 

SAN ANTONIO, TX – A two vehicle crash on an interstate highway in San Antonio claimed the life of a driver on Sunday night.

According to the San Antonio Police Department, the driver of a Nissan passenger car was traveling on the right lane of I-10 when the driver of a Dodge passenger car attempted to move from the second lane to the exit lane. 

The lane change caused the driver of the Dodge to lose control and strike the barrels on the interstate in front of the Nissan.

The driver of the Nissan was then unable to avoid the crash and collided with the Dodge.

The impact caused both vehicles to roll over. The driver of Nissan was ejected from the vehicle and transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. Authorities confirmed he was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.

One of the passengers in the Nissan was transported t a local hospital after suffering non-critical injuries while the second was treated at the scene by emergency medical services.

No information was released regarding the condition of the occupants of the Dodge or if any arrests were made.
