Children Lead Police to Severely Wounded Mother

SAN ANTONIO, TX –– After finding three young children wandering alone near a Chevron gas station near Interstate 10 in San Antonio, police located their mother severely injured.

According to police, the children –– ages 4, 5, and 8 –– told officers they believed their "mommy was dead."

When officers arrived at the Antioch Village Apartments, they located the mother in a bathtub with extensive bleeding. She appeared to have multiple puncture wounds to her legs and stomach.

First responders worked quickly to stop the woman's bleeding and transport her to a local hospital. Her condition was described as critical.

Police have not determined if the wounds were self-inflicted or the victim of a violent crime.

According to police, investigators were told the victim's boyfriend was at the apartment during the event. Authorities have not been able to locate him at this time.
