Man Threatened to Kill Girlfriend Over Christmas Gifts

SAN ANTONIO, TX –– A 37-year-old man is facing charges after he allegedly assaulted his girlfriend over Christmas gifts.

According to authorities, on Christmas Day, Cory Sherrodd Hill became upset with the presents he received and left the apartment.

Hours later, Hill returned to the apartment, still upset, and heard his girlfriend and her son talking and laughing in the bedroom.

Believing they were laughing at him, Hill pointed the pistol at the woman and repeatedly threatened to kill her. Hill would then point the pistol at the ceiling and fire a single shot.

According to court documents, the victim's son helped diffuse the situation. The victim told investigators she knew Hill was intoxicated and that he would soon pass out.

Waiting until he was unconscious, the victim removed the weapon, left the apartment, and contacted the police.

Hill was subsequently arrested and booked into the Bexar County Jail.
Hill has been charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon –– his bond has been set at $50,000.
