ROUND ROCK, TX — The Round Rock-Austin metropolitan area has once again claimed the title of the best-performing city in the nation, securing the coveted spot according to the Milken Institute's Best-Performing Cities (BPC) Index.
The Milken Institute's BPC Index ranks metropolitan areas based on economic vitality, considering factors such as the labor market, tech sector, and access to economic opportunities. This year, the assessment also incorporated metrics such as jobs, wages, high-tech growth, housing affordability, and broadband coverage. Notably, the index emphasized new criteria, including community resilience and income inequality.
