SAN ANGELO, TX — The Texas Tribune will host a public conversation in San Angelo on Tuesday, June 24, to discuss how the 2025 legislative session will affect rural Texans and residents of San Angelo.
The event begins at noon at Angelo State University’s LeGrand Alumni and Visitors Center. Doors open at 11:30 a.m., and lunch will be provided. The hourlong program will also be streamed online and available for on-demand viewing at texastribune.org/events.
The conversation will feature West Texas and rural legislators, including State Rep. Drew Darby, R-San Angelo. Topics will include the state budget, education, property taxes, water, and social issues. The discussion will cover which bills passed, what didn’t make it through the Legislature, and how new laws will impact local communities.
Following the legislative panel, the Tribune’s Regions team will highlight policy wins for rural Texas in the 2025 session.
