WALL, TX — After claiming their second state title in program history, the Wall Hawks were rewarded with four players on the Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association Class 3A All-State Team.
Senior shortstop Caleb Braden, junior pitcher Gage Reichenau and junior outfielder Hagyn Barbee all earned first-team honors, while senior catcher Gunnar Dillard was named to the All-State Elite Team.
Reichenau was a perfect 14-0 on the mound last season, highlighted by a three-hitter in the state final against Thrall.
Barbee, Dillard and Braden were each a big part of Wall’s defense, and they hit 2-3-4 in the batting order to help lead the Hawks’ explosive offense. They helped the Hawks finish with a 31-6 record.
In Class 2A, Winters senior Diego Rodriguez was the only other area player named all-state. He earned second-team honors at third base.
