Former San Angelo Central Star Freeman Named Head Coach at Pasadena Memorial

PASADENA, TX — Colton Freeman, a former all-state center at San Angelo Central, has been named the new interim head football coach at Pasadena Memorial.

Freeman has been an assistant coach for several years at the Class 6A high school in Houston, including serving as offensive line coach and offensive coordinator.

Pasadena Memorial went 3-7 last year.

Coming out of San Angelo Central, Freeman was rated the No. 26 center nationally by ESPN.

He started for the University of Houston as a freshman in 2015, but a career-ending injury nudged him into his coaching career early.

He worked as a student assistant and then an analyst at the University of Houston before beginning his high school coaching career.
