Drag Boat Showdown Returns to Lake Nasworthy This Weekend

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — The Southern Drag Boat Association is bringing the 2025 Showdown in San Angelo back to Lake Nasworthy this weekend.

Access to Spring Creek and Middle Concho Parks will be limited to people attending the drag boat races on Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The drag races include boats that top speeds of 200 miles per hour.

This year’s race weekend will also feature a show and shine event on Friday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Spring Creek Marina, giving fans the chance to see these powerful machines up close and meet the drivers before they hit the water.

Admission is $30 at the gate. Kids 12 and under are free. BYOB cooler passes are $20. VIP passes are also available.
