Menard County Sheriff’s Office Investigating After Dogs Abandoned

 

MENARD, TX — The Menard County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after three dogs were abandoned on the side of a road near Fort McKavett.

The dogs were discovered on FM 864 on Tuesday, July 15. They were in “bad shape” by the time deputies arrived to rescue them, according to the Menard County Sheriff’s Office.

The condition of the dogs was so bad that the Menard Animal Clinic made the decision to euthanize them, Menard Sheriff Burl Hagler stated.
