Two Drivers Cited With Warnings After Crash on Knickerbocker Road

SAN ANGELO, TX — A two-vehicle crash Friday on the 3000 block of Knickerbocker Road sent one driver to the hospital with minor injuries, police said.

According to San Angelo police, a Buick Encore was pulling out of private property while a maroon SUV was turning left from Creekside Drive onto Knickerbocker. Both drivers were attempting to head in opposite directions and collided in the turn lane.

Officers said the SUV driver improperly used the turn lane as a merge lane after turning left, while the Encore driver failed to yield the right of way when exiting private property.

One driver was evaluated at the scene, and the other was taken to a hospital with neck and back pain that was not considered life-threatening.

Police issued both drivers warnings for their respective violations and said insurance companies will handle the damages.
