Angelo State Football Debuts at No. 12 in National Rankings

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — The Angelo State University football team will begin the season ranked No. 12 in the D2Football.com national rankings.

The Rams went 9-3 last season and won an undefeated Lone Star Conference title.

ASU returns the LSC Preseason Offensive Player of the Year in junior quarterback Braeden Fuller. 

The Floresville native had 2,318 passing yards and 19 touchdowns last season with only two interceptions. He also had 678 rushing yards and 10 TDs.

ASU will begin the season on the road against No. 20 Fort Hays State at 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 28. The Rams’ home opener is 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 6 against Emporia State at LeGrand Stadium at 1st Community Credit Union Field.
