Fake Permit Invoices Circulating in San Angelo

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – The City of San Angelo is warning residents about fraudulent invoices sent by scammers posing as the City’s Permit Office.

According to the city, the fake invoices direct recipients to send wire transfers to process permit applications. Officials stressed that the City of San Angelo will never request payment through wire transfer.

Residents are asked to use caution with any unexpected invoice or payment request. Anyone with questions about a permit bill or payment is advised to call 325-657-4210 to verify its legitimacy.
