WASHINGTON, DC — On Friday, Congressman August Pfluger (TX-11) tied up an apron and worked alongside employees during the breakfast rush at a McDonald's in Midland. In Texas alone, McDonald's employs over 65,000 individuals across 1,220 restaurant locations.
Throughout his time in Congress, Congressman Pfluger has been a strong advocate for franchises across Texas's 11th District. This is why he is a co-sponsor of the American Franchise Act, which aims to protect the independence of franchise owners and guard against overly broad interpretations of joint employer liability.
"I had a great time working alongside the wonderful employees at a McDonald's in Midland, serving constituents, and getting a behind-the-scenes look at the breakfast rush," said Rep. Pfuger. "Nothing beats being back in Texas-11 with the hardworking men and women I am honored to represent in Congress. I will always support franchises in my district and across America. A big thank you to the McDonald's team for welcoming me in and to everyone who stopped by."
