Flash Flood Warning in Effect for Tom Green County

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — The Tom Green County Sheriff’s Office issued a flash flood warning Friday evening for all of Tom Green County, urging residents to avoid low-lying areas and to stay off flooded roads.

According to the alert, flash flooding is impacting small creeks, streams, highways, streets, and underpasses, as well as other areas with poor drainage. The warning remains in effect until 8:30 p.m.

The Sheriff’s Office reminded the public to follow the National Weather Service’s safety advice: “Turn around, don’t drown.”
