ROUND ROCK, TX — The Concho Valley has numerous qualifiers headed to the UIL Cross Country State Championships this weekend, led by a pair of regional champions.
Sterling City freshman Isa McGinnis and Mason junior Cooper Ratliff each won individual titles at their respective regional meets last week.
Now they’ll try and bring home state titles when they compete at Old Settlers Park in Round Rock. The Class 1A, 3A and 5A races will be held Friday, while 2A, 4A and 6A will compete Saturday.
Other standout finishers from regional meets included Menard’s Danni Ruiz and Bronte’s Colton Bilyeu, who were each second place. Irion County’s Parker Kramer and Coleman’s Victoria Guerrero were each third.
