Rain Chances Return to the Concho Valley This Weekend

SAN ANGELO, TX — Another round of rain is expected across the Concho Valley this weekend as an upper-level system brings increasing moisture and the potential for heavy rainfall from Saturday night through Monday morning, according to the National Weather Service in San Angelo.

Forecasters say rain chances will rise rapidly late Saturday, with most locations seeing probabilities climb into the 60–80% range by early Sunday. The highest chances appear Sunday afternoon and evening, when widespread showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop.

The weather service notes that some storms may produce heavy rainfall capable of flooding low-lying areas and roadways. Hazardous driving conditions will also be possible. Meteorologists say there is still uncertainty about where the heaviest totals will fall.

Temperatures will stay near seasonal averages through early next week. Highs are expected to range from the upper 60s to low 70s across the region, with overnight lows remaining well above freezing.

Rain chances taper off Monday.
