Man Shot By Police After Pointing Gun At Officers

 

SAN ANTONIO, TX -- A suspect was shot by San Antonio Police Department officers after he answered the front door with a gun in hand.

According to SAPD, the police department was contacted by 9-1-1 by a teenager who claimed her father was attacking her mother.

When police arrived the teen opened the door and officers heard a man yell "who is the f*** is that?"

Initial reports indicate the man was armed and pointed it at officers.

According to Chief McManus, he could not confirm the detail until he reviewed the body cam footage.

The suspect was shot once in the stomach and was transported to a local hospital.

No one else was injured during the incident.
