STINNETT, TX – Police Chief Jason Collier went viral after his torrid love affairs were discovered on Facebook, and now it seems his lies have finally caught up to him in the real world.
Those keeping up with the Collier saga may remember Cecily Steinmetz told social media that Collier had shown her an annulment document and claimed he was no longer involved with his wife Opal.
According to Steinmetz, she verified with Potter County that the document was not authentic.

Well, that forged document has landed the now-former police chief in legal trouble.
According to Hutchinson County Sheriff Blaik Kemp, Collier was arrested by the Texas Rangers and booked into the Hutchinson County Jail.
Police records indicate Collier was charged with tampering with a government record with the intent to defraud or harm – a state jain felony.
DPS has confirmed the “fraudulent government record" in question is a "marriage annulment."
Collier was placed on administrative on Wednesday and that same day the Texas Rangers were called to investigate.
It is not clear at this time when Collier resigned.
Collier's bond has been set at $10,000.
