Two Eagle Pass South Agents Injured In a Single Vehicle Rollover

 

Del Rio – Two U.S. Border Patrol agents were injured in a single vehicle rollover just north of El Indio.

“My thoughts are with their families and wish the agents a speedy recovery after this unfortunate accident,” said Del Rio Sector Chief Rodolfo Karisch. “

On Sept. 3 at approximately 4:30 p.m., two Eagle Pass South Border Patrol agents were involved in a single vehicle accident while en route to their area of responsibility. The rollover accident occurred just north of El Indio. Both agents were transported to the Fort Duncan Regional Medical center for treatment. Out of an abundance of caution, one of the agents was air lifted to University Hospital in San Antonio for further evaluation. The other agent was treated and released.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
