Election Day Turnout Mixed Across San Angelo Polling Sites

SAN ANGELO, TX — As of 3 p.m. Saturday, voter turnout across San Angelo varied by location, with some polling sites reporting heavier-than-usual traffic and others remaining relatively quiet.

At Calvary Baptist Church on Armstrong Street, election workers reported a higher turnout than what is typically seen at that location in past elections. Wesley United Trinity Methodist Church on West 18th Street was described as having about average turnout, or slightly above. Meanwhile, Belmore Baptist Church on South Bell Street had seen fewer voters than expected by midafternoon.

Voters are choosing a new mayor, city council representatives for Single Member Districts 2 and 4, San Angelo ISD school board members, and deciding on two major bond propositions — a $397 million bond for public schools and a $41.6 million bond for CRC Roofers Coliseum improvements.
