100 Men and 100 Women of San Angelo Join Forces to Support Kash Nelson's Family

SAN ANGELO, TX — The 100 Men and 100 Women of San Angelo will hold a joint fundraising event Tuesday evening, May 20, for the family of baby Kash Nelson, a local child critically injured in a March accident.

The event will take place at the San Angelo Country Club River Room, with a social hour beginning at 5:30 p.m. and presentations starting at 6:30 p.m.

Typically held as separate quarterly events, both charitable groups have opted to combine their efforts this spring to make a greater impact for the Nelson family. Instead of spotlighting various nonprofits, this event will direct 100% of proceeds to support Kash and his parents, Megan and Matt Nelson.

Kash, a 1-year-old boy, was hospitalized in critical condition after falling into a backyard pool on March 13. He was airlifted to Dell Children’s Medical Center in Austin, where he has remained under intensive care. His father, a self-employed contractor, and his mother, a stay-at-home mom, are facing significant financial and medical burdens. The family is uninsured.

Tickets are $100 per person, with all funds going directly to the family. For those unable to attend, donations can be sent via Venmo or contributed to an active GoFundMe campaign titled Help Baby Kash’s Family as He Fights for His Life, which had raised over $68,000 as of Monday afternoon.

Organizers are also accepting auction item donations to support the fundraiser.
