EXCLUSIVE: Police Falsely Called to Shooting Victim in West San Angelo

SAN ANGELO, TX – San Angelo Police drew long guns Thursday night at a home in West San Angelo after police were falsely informed of a possible shooting victim.

According to the San Angelo Police Department, on Jul. 22 at around on July 22, 2021, at about 10:50 pm, Officers responded to the 3600 block of Cedar Creek in reference to a possible shooting victim.  Contact was eventually made with the resident, who was not harmed.

Shortly after, a second call came in from the same caller, stating that the incident had actually occurred at the 3600 block of Shadyhill Dr. 

After further investigation it was determined that both of the calls were Swatting (false) calls.  This is still an ongoing investigation.
