INDICTMENT: Baby Daddy Smacks Children's Mother with a Baseball Bat

SAN ANGELO, TX – A San Angelo man was indicted last month for assaulting the mother of his children with a wooden baseball bat.

According to court documents, on Dec. 8, Anthony Trevino, 35, was indicted for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

The original arrest occurred on Oct. 23. on the 400 block of E. 22nd st. Officers with the San Angelo Police Department reported that Trevino struck the mother of his children with a baseball bat during an argument.

The woman experienced a golf ball size knot on her head along with blood from the abrasion. 

The child on scene told officers that they saw the assault. Trevino allegedly took two swings. The woman dodged the first swing and retreated back into the child's bedroom. This is where the assault occurred.

Trevino was arrested for the charge and has remained in the jail on a $175,000 bond.

If convicted Trevino could face up to 20 years in prison and a $10,000 fine.
