Grandmother, Granddaughter Killed in Ozona Crash Identified

 

OZONA, TX — The two Crockett County residents killed in the horrific multi-victim fatal crash on Monday night have been identified. 

As previously reported, on Mar. 13, 2023 at around 8:15 p.m., a multiple vehicle crash was called at the intersection of 15th St. and Avenue E. For the original story see: Horrific Crash Near Ozona Leaves the 'Biggest Little City' in the World in Shock

The Preddy Funeral Home has identified the two victims as Grandmother and Granddaughter, Maria and Emilia Tambunga. The local newspaper in Ozona, the Ozona Stockman, reported that they were just two of the 17 patients taken by Shannon’s AirMed 1, their AirMed 2 airplane, and five Crockett and Sutton County Ambulances. 

As of 6:30 p.m. no official report from DPS has been released.
