SAN ANGELO, TX – Aimee McGinnis, a dedicated ministry assistant and community leader in San Angelo, recently won big on the iconic game show 'Wheel of Fortune.' Her victorious appearance was during the show's special Shopping Spree Week, broadcast on Black Friday, Nov. 24, 2023.
McGinnis described the experience as "amazing and fun" on her Facebook page, highlighting her encounters with hosts Pat Sajak and Vanna White and people from across the country.
According to Paramount, McGinnis won $12,949 in cash and prizes, including a Hawaiian vacation.
Well-known to over 45 churches in the Concho Valley, McGinnis has been a pivotal figure in church ministry. As the Texas chapter President for church ministry assistants and co-founder of 'Women of Heart,' her journey to the 'Wheel of Fortune' stage is a testament to her dedication and impact on her community.
A long-time fan of the show, McGinnis expressed her delight in witnessing its positive impact on contestants and their families.
McGinnis plans to use her winnings for a vacation with her husband, Mike, and to contribute towards paying off their home.
Joining the Concho Valley Baptist Association Staff in 2016, McGinnis brings a wealth of experience from various fields, including healthcare administration, writing, singing, and speaking. A published author, she aims to continue her writing endeavors.

Ironically, the Aimee's big win was broadcasted on local channel KLST but the newsteam there didn't believe her winnings were newsworthy. After a week of waiting for KLST to take the lead, we felt compelled to reveal the rest of the story.
