The heavy rain Friday prompted the NWS to issue a Flood Advisory as dozens of low-lying streets and intersections in San Angelo were flooded while the water made its way to the Concho River and the Red Arroyo.

According to the NWS, 2 to 3 inches of rain has fallen in the last 6 hours with more expected throughout the afternoon.

The passenger in a Chevrolet pickup died in a fatal crash in the rain Thanksgiving day on I-20 about three miles east of Ranger.  

About 3/4 of an inch of rain fell between 2 a.m. and 8 a.m. Friday morning in the San Angelo area on average with an additional two inches likely as temperatures remain steady in the mid 40s. 

Maria Garza, 34, was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.  Her bond was set at $25,000.  She was arrested at 7:58 a.m. and released on bond at 3:58 p.m. Thanksgiving Day. 

 There is a potential for up to 2.5 inches of rain which will cause isolated flooding.  

Two suspects were arrested for minor in possession of tobacco while a few others were arrested for resisting arrest or fleeing police officers.

According to Inland Fisheries, 668 rainbow trout found a new home downtown San Angelo.
