Tom Green County Commissioners Considering Cyber Security

SAN ANGELO, TX – Tom Green County Commissioners Tuesday will consider cyber security insurance during their regular meeting.

According to Waterfall Securities, a cyber attack on the Colonial Pipeline shut down gasoline supplies to the eastern U.S. after ransomware attacker Darkside hacked into their computer network.  Cyber attacks are on the rise and Commissioners are looking approving cyber security insurance coverage.

Commissioners will also look at renewing a contract with Transunion Risk and Alternative Data Solutions, Inc. for similar services.

Commissioners will also consider a lease agreement between the Christoval Baseball Association, the Christoval Independent School District and the county for lease and operation of the baseball fields in Pugh Park.

The Tom Green County Commissioners Court meets at 8:30 Tuesday morning in the Commissioners Court room on the second floor of the Keyes Building downtown.
