Tom Green County Courthouse to Close in July for Electrical Work

SAN ANGELO – Tom Green County Judge Steve Floyd announced this week that the Tom Green County Courthouse will be closed for critical electrical work from July 8 to July 15, 2022.

The Courthouse is undergoing major reconstruction which has progressed to the point where work crews have to cut the power and air conditioning for several days to complete necessary electrical work.

According to Judge Floyd, the Courthouse, at 112 West Beauregard Ave., will be CLOSED to the public beginning Friday, July 8th and continuing thru Friday, July 15th.  The electrical system is being updated as part of the ongoing remodeling and there will be no power, lights or air-conditioning in the building.

The District Clerk’s office and the District Courts will all be working remotely.  All of the courts will be utilizing Zoom; but some of the courts have arranged for alternative locations in order to accommodate previously scheduled, in-person hearings.  If you have any questions about the manner of appearance please contact your attorney or the appropriate Court prior to July 8th.
