SAN ANGELO, TX — Firefighters from multiple volunteer departments battled a fully involved house fire on Hillview Circle Monday afternoon that resulted in the total loss of the home.
East Concho Volunteer Fire Department and Wall Volunteer Fire Department responded to the reported structure fire shortly after 1:20 p.m. on April 13, with the first-arriving East Concho unit confirming a working fire, according to social media posts from both departments. Crews found the structure fully involved on arrival and requested mutual aid from Quail Valley Volunteer Fire Department for manpower and a water shuttle operation.
Goodfellow Fire and Emergency Services sent an additional tanker for water support. San Angelo Fire Department paramedics also responded and provided medical standby and rehabilitation.
Crews attempted to enter the structure but withdrew because of extreme heat, multiple explosions and a limited water supply, the Wall department reported.
The fire was extinguished and all units returned to quarters by 6 p.m., East Concho Volunteer Fire Department stated. The home was a total loss. No injuries were reported.
The departments thanked the Tom Green County Sheriff’s Office, Concho Valley Electric Cooperative, mutual aid partners and all volunteers who responded.
