According to reports, Tuesday afternoon, the driver of an 18-wheeler was killed after crashing off Interstate 20 near mile marker 310 around 1:00 p.m. Law enforcement believed the driver either had a medical issue for fell asleep before crossing the interstate and the frontage road then driving through a ditch and coming to a rest through some trees.

Upon making impact off the road, a pipe went through the cab of the semi-truck and investigators had no indication the truck’s brakes were applied in the crash. Also, the crashed truck was the only vehicle involved.
