Strange Four-Vehicle Crash Disrupts Traffic on Chadbourne St.

SAN ANGELO, TX - A four-vehicle crash disrupted traffic and prompted a response from the San Angelo Police Department on Sunday, Jan. 28.

It happened near the intersection of North Chadbourne Street and East 10th Street around 1 p.m.

The crash resulted in the closure of Chadbourne Street between 9th and 10th Streets as authorities worked to investigate the crash.

According to officials from the San Angelo Police Department, the sequence of events began when a southbound blue-colored Acura on the 900 block of North Chadbourne struck the side of a telephone pole before colliding with a parked vehicle.

Following the initial impact, the Acura reversed and attempted to move forward.

Authorities said that a mechanical failure in the vehicle hindered its ability to turn.

The compromised Acura subsequently crashed again with two northbound vehicles, a white Ford Ranger and a red Chevy Equinox.

Two drivers were transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

The driver of the Acura received a citation for failure to control speed.
