Former High School Athletic Director Arrested for Indecency with a Child

 

WHITHARRAL, TX – A former West Texas high school teacher, coach, and athletic director has been arrested Tuesday for indecency with a child.

According to KCBD, Jan. 12, deputies with the Hockley County Sheriff's Office arrested 59-year-old Todd Rutledge following allegations of Rutledge sexually abusing a child.

Rutledge was a teacher at Levelland Junior High form 2000 until 2002. He then coached and was the agriculture teacher at Whitharral until 2009. 

After leaving Whitharral, Rutledge was the athletic director at Lazbuddie High School until 2014. He then went on to his final job which was at Littlefield Junior High School where he was served as a coach.

Rutledge was arrested at his home in the 3600 block of North Alamo Road in Whitharral. He was booked into the Hockley County Jail and was released on a $25,000 bond.
