San Angelo Man Arrested Red-Handed With Lewd Vids, Pics of Minors

SAN ANGELO, TX — A significant operation by the Tom Green County Sheriff's Office has led to the arrest of a San Angelo man on multiple charges related to child pornography. The arrest occurred on Tuesday, following the execution of a search warrant by the Sheriff's Office in the 2500 block of Bowie Street.

The operation stemmed from a tip received by the Criminal Investigations Division from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). This tip initiated a Crimes Against Children investigation, focusing on the activities of 33-year-old Floyd Tumey.

During the search, investigators discovered over 80 videos and images in Tumey's possession. These disturbing materials reportedly depicted very young children engaged in sexual conduct. The evidence seized at the scene led to Tumey's arrest on five counts of Possession of Child Pornography. Each count is considered a third-degree felony under state law.

The Tom Green County Sheriff's Office has emphasized its ongoing commitment to investigating and acting upon crimes involving child exploitation and abuse.
