SAN ANGELO, TX— A San Angelo woman was arrested over the weekend for assaulting two individuals with a pair of scissors.
Mandy Meloon, 44, of San Angelo, was arrested by the Tom Green County Sheriff’s Office for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
According to court documents, on May 26, 2025, around 12:30 a.m., Tom Green County Sheriff’s deputies and the investigator were dispatched to the 2300 block of Fisherman’s Road in reference to an information report. While responding, dispatch advised of a separate call for service from a different complainant at the same location informing them of an assault.
Law enforcement arrived and spoke with two victims and one witness.
One of the victims and the witness reported that the defendant, identified as Meloon, was trying to hang her clothing on the witness’s clothesline. Both victims later attempted to remove Meloon’s clothing prior to the assault.
The victims were trying to remove the clothesline, which was attached to a tree, on the west side of Meloon’s trailer. According to the victims, Meloon leaned out of a window of the trailer and swung an open pair of scissors at the female victim approximately four or five times, striking her twice.
During the assault, the male victim tried to remove the female victim's forearm from the path of the scissors, which cause him to be struck on the hand.
After the assault, the female victim said that Meloon threatened to kill her with a glass container that was shaped like a beer bottle.
The male victim showed the investigator cell phone footage of the event leading up to the assault but not the assault itself.
Based on the statements from the two victims and the witness, the investigator believed that Meloon assaulted the victims with a deadly weapon.
Meloon was arrested and booked into the Tom Green County Jail on May 26, 2025, and is being held on $25,000 bond.
