Woman, 60, Killed in Abilene Shooting

 

ABILENE, TX — A 60-year-old woman was found dead from a gunshot wound Tuesday morning in front of her home in Abilene.

According to the Abilene Police Department, detectives were called to the 2300 block of North Danville Drive about 7 a.m. after a report of an injured shooting victim.

Upon arriving, police discovered the woman lying in front of one of the duplex buildings. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said an altercation between the woman and her neighbors escalated into the shooting. The victim was also related to the neighbors.

The woman’s identity has not been released, and no charges have been filed. The investigation is ongoing.
